Motivated, well-qualified staff guarantee the success of MAN Diesel. On 31 December 2007 the workforce of the Group totalled 6,837 staff. They form a global team of engine and plant specialists.

MAN Diesel attach great importance to staff training whether it be for new staff or the continued professional development provided for skilled specialists. The MAN Diesel Group therefore offers their workforce a comprehensive training programme. Executive staff are systematically trained to take in management functions by the courses offered by the MAN Academy.

Close cooperation with universities and other educational institutions means that MAN Diesel promotes knowledge of the company and familiarity with its products. This cooperation includes numerous projects which are carried out by students with support from our engineers.
